So… Cats happened.
Beside that, as we are into Year Four of our Main Street Project, I am getting to more things on my initial “to-do” list. The main item this winter was adding a small bathroom to the gallery shop next door as we get it ready for a new tenant. Along with that addition, we are finally renovating the dreadful horror on my side that has been masquerading as a bathroom.
AND… as part of that bathroom renovation, we have finally, finally, finally laid the first installment of our Community Tile Project! (We’ve been making tiles as a community for well over three years). It’s glued, it’s grouted, and as soon as the room is finished, I’ll blast a whole bunch of photos. It looks fantastic!
About the cats? Well, potteries always have a cat (I don’t know why, it’s just kind of required), so one day while browsing siameserescue.org, I came across these two little babies, and long story short, they adore being here at the shop. They’re super friendly and will greet you for rubs and wand-toy playing. Unless it’s after 3PM, which they have self-appointed as their quitting time and will be off sleeping on a heating pad on my secret office futon. We’ve named them Zeus and Athena, and you are welcome to overdose on pictures and videos on their Facebook page: Gods of the Attic.
In other news, Christmas season was great, and we’re very excited on Main Street for new shop additions and more destination shopping in general. Stafford continues to evolve and grow. I… got delightfully cleaned out of inventory over the holidays and will be taking time this winter to regroup and restock. Our ongoing student fundraiser continues to be popular, so I’ll rearrange that a little this month with new selections.
